We had about 45 kids in total participate in all 3 levels of our camp. Every player brought a great attitude and willingness to work hard. Hopefully the parents and players see the improvement we witnessed in each player during the week of training.
The following is a recap of the week:
Monday - Focus on Technical Development, getting to know the players, players getting to know the coaches.
Tuesday - Focus on Def Principles both Individually and as a Team (proper positioning, proper spacing, different philosophies within defense)
Wednesday - Focus on Attacking Principles both Individually and as a Team (ex. combination play vs. taking on an opponent, keeping possession, exploiting negative and positive space)
Thursday - Finishing Principles (1v1 finishing, striking/heading to score, different surfaces to score with)
Friday - Putting it all together.
GK Training each day
We are looking forward to working with Evansville once again during the 2010 summer. If you are interested in team camps in the Evansville area please do not hesitate to call Mark Diercks.

Grades K-3 Camp Objectives
Attending the one week camp is a great way for players to be introduced to the game while building and enhancing prior soccer knowledge in a fun but competitive setting. Coaches to player ratios are about 1:5 allowing for an abundance of individual attention and soccer specific feedback. Players in the K-1 and 2-3 grade levels will receive about 45 minutes of instruction each lesson through game play and soccer specific activities followed with 25-30 minutes of 3v3 and 4v4 small sided games.
Grades 4-6 Camp Objectives
Campers in this age group should expect a lot of 1 on 1 coaching, with the focus on academy style training mixed with small sided game play. Players will get maximum number of touches on the ball during the week emphasizing technical development along with tactical development.
Grades 7-8 Camp Objectives
Campers should expect to learn what it takes to excel at the next level of competition. Major focus is to develop a competitive edge so that the players are confident playing on the big stage under the pressures of quality soccer. Academy style training, small side, and full field training are utilized.
Grades 9-12 Camp Objectives
Training techniques include pattern play, discussion and application of various tactical formations, academy style technical training, and constant feedback from coaches to players. Players should expect to have a high work rate during camp and leave with a higher soccer IQ both technically and tactically.
