OSD Summer Recreational Clinic FlierThe K-3 Shotime Soccer Academy is currently being held in conjunction with the Summer School Recreational Clinics offered by the Oregon School District. It is offered to boys and girls, of all ability levels, to those going into grades K-3 for the upcoming school year. Meeting times have been consistently 2:15-3:45pm for 2-3 grade students and 4-5:30pm for K-1 students during the month of July after the holiday weekend. We schedule 8 meetings from Monday through Thursday for two weeks. All students will be getting an age appropriate ball and t-shirt for their participation. Cost is only $15. Coach to player ratio is very good with some coaches volunteering and some coaches interning. If you are interested in this program, please contact Mark Diercks or visit the Oregon Summer School web page at www.oregonsd.org/parents/summer_school.cfm or by visiting the Oregon School District home page at www.oregonsd.org and search Summer School Registration. Registration begins in middle March and fills up quickly.

Furthermore, attending the two week camp is a great way for players to be introduced to the game while building and enhancing prior soccer knowledge in a fun but competitive setting. Coaches to player ratios are about 1:5 allowing for an abundance of individual attention and soccer specific feedback. With 90 minutes of instruction, typical training sessions consist of many skill building activities during the first 45-60 min with the focus of making the game of soccer fun but challenging. The last 30 minutes is usually devoted to playing 3v3 and 4v4 small sided soccer.
