CAN I REGISTER AFTER THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE?
Yes, you can register after the deadline, but campers registering after deadline need to be aware of the following three items:
- The camper should contact Mark Diercks to ensure camp space.
- The camper forfeits the ability to receive a refund if camper decides to not attend camp.
- Campers who register after deadline are not guaranteed a camp t-shirt (due to printing schedules) if a tshirt is being offered.
CAN I REGISTER THE MORNING OF THE CAMP?
This will ONLY be allowed if the player/parent contacts Mark Diercks before the start of camp. As a camp we need to ensure the safety of all campers, signing up the morning of the camp often means only a check in the amount for the camp and no other forms completed. If a camper does not have Registration, Emergency forms, and payment completed before the start of camp, he/she will not step on the field. NO EXCEPTIONS!
ALL REGISTRATIONS ARE COMPLETED ONLINE. NO PAPER FORMS.
WHAT DO I NEED TO COMPLETE REGISTRATION FOR A CAMP?
The following must be completed and received by Mark Diercks in order for the registration to be complete:
1. Completed ONLINE Registration.
2. Preferred method of payment is VENMO. Information regarding this is sent along registration confirmation email.
If paying by the following: Check/Cash payment in the amount of the designated camp made out to SHOTIME SOCCER SERIES for all camps and training sessions. Mail to PO BOX 272, OREGON WI 53575 or bring the first day of camp. Please MEMO the check with your player's name and session attending.
WILL THERE BE REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION BEFORE THE START OF CAMP?
An email will go out a 1 - 2 days before the start of camp. In that email players and parents will find the objectives for the week, clarification of specific fields being used for the camp, and general camp reminders.
WHAT IF A CAMP IS CANCELLED?
A camp will be canceled due to low number of registrations. If camp registrations are low, each registered camper will be contacted by Mark Diercks and given a couple of choices:
- to attend another age group camp
- to take a full refund and not attend another age group camp
WHERE CAN I FIND UPDATED MAPS OF CAMP LOCATIONS?
Follow the MAPS link on the left to view a map of all specific camp locations for the summer. This will often be updated about a week before the designated camp.
WHAT HAPPENS IN CASES OF POOR WEATHER?
1. Camp on days of inclement weather may be canceled. On the camp registration confirmation email, information regarding possible storm shelters will be identified with that email.
2. If the temperature is above 95 degrees and/or the heat index is above 100 degrees, the camp reserves the right to cancel the days training to ensure safety of all participants. However, the camp will do everything it can to ensure the camp will continue, but within reason.
*** With cancellations due to weather, participants will not be given a camp refund.
WHAT LEVEL SHOULD I REGISTER?
Players need to sign up according to their upcoming level of play. For example, for the 2010 Summer camps, if the player just finished playing U10 during the 2009-10 season, he/she will want to register as U11/U12 (this is the 2010-11 age and grade level). Please see each specific camp for more detailed information.
WHAT IS THE DAILY SCHEDULE OF EACH CAMP?
1. Players should arrive at least 15 minutes early to start warming up before camp starts. Once camp starts, players should expect to be moving the entire time.
WHAT EQUIPMENT SHOULD EACH PLAYER HAVE FOR CAMP?
Each player should bring the following each day of training camp:
-Age appropriate size soccer ball
U13 and Above - Size 5
U11/12 - Size 4
U9/10 - Size 4
U8 and below - Size 3
-Water and snack if needed
-Wear full gear (soccer cleats, flats if inside, shin guards, socks, soccer shorts)
-Light colored shirt, preferably white or light grey. Try to avoid color t-shirts.
